Older Adult Depression and Suicide During COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic is a challenging and disconcerting situation for all of us, and especially for older adults, many of whom experience increased loneliness, isolation, and stigmatization during these weeks of "social distancing."

Please join us for this free webinar, presented via Zoom by Older Adult Behavioral Health Specialists Laurel Wonder (MSW, Multnomah County) and Kera Magarill (MA, Washington County):

Social isolation, financial uncertainty, the threat of illness, and restrictions in movement are just some of the risk factors for depression that have heightened during the COVID-19 pandemic. Learn how to support the mental wellness of older adults despite physical distancing, how to spot the top warning signs of depression and suicide, and about older adult services and supports that are currently available in Oregon for those struggling with isolation or who are in a mental health crisis.

There will be time for questions and discussion at the end of the presentation.

Please register for free through our ONLINE REGISTRATION FORM or contact [email protected] to receive the Zoom information.
