Photo Cameron SmithPresenter Cameron Smith is the Director of the Oregon Dept of Consumer and Business Services (DCBS) which oversees multiple programs that impact older adults including the State Health Insurance Benefits Assistance Program, the Senior Medicare Patrol (anti fraud) Program, the Securities Division, and many more.

DCBS does consistent outreach and education to consumers about protecting them from frauds and scams and regulates insurance and the securities here in Oregon. Cameron took over the job after serving as the Director for the Oregon Dept of Veterans Affairs that he managed after serving as senior policy advisor for both Gov. Ted Kulongoski and Gov John Kitzhaber. Smith served 5 years in the Marine Corps as a Captain.
